                  WEEKLY REFLECTION

06/11/19 - 08/11/19

                As per B.Ed. curriculum, our fourth semester school internship program for fourty days started on 6th November 2019 at Muslim Boys High school Kaniyapuram. I got class 8 for teaching. The concerned teacher  assigned me to take first chapter  of the fourth unit ' Flowers and Showers'. I covered two lesson plans  of the chapter  'Song of the Flower ' by Khalil Gibran. I used power point presentation as my teaching aid.It was very effective for the students. They listened carefully and  responded well.           
                 On 8th November 2019 ,school conducted a program in association with 'Madhyavarjana Samidhi'.a conscientization program on the ill effects of alcohol  and drugs among school students. Mr. .Muhammed Shafeek ,SP Excise and Vigilance department inaugurated the program. Mrs. Biatris Gomez ( writer) and Mr.Kunnathoor J Prakash (poet)addressed the students. Students got a clear idea of the evil effects of alcohol and drugs on human lives. We were also participated in the program and the teachers assigned us the discipline duty.           

11/11/19-15/11/19

                           I was at the peak of happiness by seeing the positive responses made by the students in the class. In this week I completed the chapter 'Song of the Flower,' along with that I taught them figure of speeches  simile and metaphor. I prepared and presented  different videos and presentations associated with the chapter.  

                                          On 13th November 2019,School conducted an awareness programme in association with Nalla  Padam club.The chief guest was Vava Suresh.He gave a brief class on steps taken to overcome snake bites etc.Students were very much excited. He introduces few snakes to the students.

                               On the same day I got a chance to conduct my conscientization programme in association with C5 Campaign named 'SAMUDRATHMA'. The students of 9th std were present and participated actively. The representatives of C5 Campaign took classes on marine pollution and its drastic effects.Students and teachers  participated with great pleasure .                       

18/11/10 - 22/11/19

                            In this week, I completed the chapter 'First Shower 'by Nalini Sharma  in the unit 'Flowers and Showers'.I got only few classes in this week.  I introduced the poem by showing a small video of rain,and asked few questions to link the chapter to students. They responded well. I recited the poem in a tune and they listened carefully after that I taught them new words and encouraged them to use it on their day to day conversations. I checked their  notes and found some of the books were incomplete. I strictly warned them to complete the notes.

25/11/19 - 29/11/19

                        In this week I completed all the activities and textual questions of the chapter 'First  Shower 'and started teaching the new chapter ' The Nightingale and the Rose '. I introduced the chapter by showing few pictures. They showed positive interest in listening the story.The concerned teacher of the school asked me to take class for 9th std also from the next week.
       
                     On 25.11.19,English club of MBHS ,Kaniyapuram conducted a literary fest and a food fest.A puppet show was also arranged and it was the highlight of the day. In the afternoon session students showcase their talents. The food fest was also a different experience. Students brought delicious food items and gave opportunity to buy those items in minimum price. Trainees also got ample opportunity to learn the school activities and programs

02/12/2019 - 06/12/2019                                                                  

                             In this week  I completed the chapter 'The Nightingale and The Rose 'by Oscar Wilde. I completed all the activities and textual questions and showed a video based on the chapter. For the first time I went to 9 std and started teaching the chapter' The Last leaf'by  O Henry. I introduced the chapter by giving an introduction of  the author. They responded well and listened the class well.This week was good for me.                                                                                                                                      09/12/2019 - 20/12/2019  

                                                                                               In this week we could get the chance to monitor the classes during exams. Second terminal examination began on 9th December and ends on 20th December. It was a new experience and school close for Christmas vacation on20th December.

30/12/2019 - 03/01/2020                                                                                                                           Our training session after the vacation restarts on 30th December. When I entered for taking class students were eagerly waiting for their answer papers.I went to 8th and 9th std as earlier. I began the classes after asking about their vacation.I completed my portions and took few models in the class students cooperated with me.                                                                                06/01/2020 - 10/01/2020                                         

This was the last week of our training session. We had completed our 40 days  training successfully. I completed all my portions and lesson templates successfully. I conducted diagnostic and achievement tests. 40 days school experience was great.After completing all the formalities we left the school with lots of memories.
